Pure coun­try enjoy­ment between the Neisse and Malxe rivers

South of Forst (Lausitz) between the Neiße and Malxe rivers, a trip to the coun­try­side is well worth it. Take a deep breath of the fresh air, let your gaze wan­der into the vast mead­ows or hike through dis­ap­pear­ing paths in the won­der­ful forests of the Muskauer Fal­tenbo­gen. It's worth tak­ing a break in the small and idyl­lic vil­lages along the way. For gourmets to take home, in the sea­son up to St. John's Day the impe­r­ial veg­eta­bles - the Preschen aspara­gus - are freshly picked from the field. Along the way, there are inter­est­ing ven­dors where it is worth book­ing in advance: Guided vine­yard tour, hand­made goat cheese, don­key hike in Groß Kölzig, guided tour of the recon­structed three-sided farm Malx­e­hof from the 1900s.
